The Lively Story

Lively's co-founders, Mark Mitchell and Mike White, felt that campaigns could be far more powerful if they were seamlessly integrated across multiple platforms, more strategically-driven and more intelligently conceived.

Lively enables us to take brands to another level.

Lively grew from the shared belief of its experienced co-founders, Mark Mitchell and Mike White, that brands were not always tapping into the myriad of opportunities in today’s digital world. Campaigns could be far more powerful if they were seamlessly integrated across multiple platforms, more strategically-driven and more intelligently conceived.

The decision to establish Lively wasn’t just about bringing live streaming, experiences and technological expertise under one roof. It also enables us to put a new philosophy into practice – one which promotes creative thinking about how to achieve a brand’s overarching campaign objectives and then deploys multiple components in a strategic, intelligent way that takes the brand to another level.

Challenge: Make Twitter stand out and reflect its global presence

  • Twitter wanted to use the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity to promote its products and brand to a global audience
  • Developed Twitter's global content strategy creating eight-hour livestreams, in six countries and across five time zones, featuring live cultural events in Mumbai, Guatemala, Tokyo, France and Spain
  • Created the Twitter Beach and Twitter Studio - two visually stunning tech-centric venues to hero Twitter's latest products and share live content
  • Curated a constant stream of live video interviews and thought leadership from the Live Studio
  • Content was beamed to our Periscope Teleporter - a 50-inch rotating screen - which showed the chosen 'experience'
